Some of our Social Work and Behavioural Science students had the opportunity of using the lecture theatre to give their assessed presentations on Tuesday April 15.
Time was allowed during the previous day for the students to try out the theatre facilities and rehearse the presentation in advance of the "big day". Our facilitators had been giving assistance and advice to the students over the two weeks leading up to this and were also available on the day to help with the setups.

Using the unobtrusive IPVCR system installed in the lecture theatre, we were able to record the proceedings without distracting the students and provide a hard copy of the proceedings on DVD.
The recorded DVD can be used to provide valuable feedback to the student to enhance their learning as well giving the assessing panel or external examiner the ability to review the assessed presentation at a later date.
If you or any member of your Faculty would like to use or see a demonstration of this equipment, please contact a member of the Learning Gateway staff.
